RC Snubber
£5.29
A small energy-absorbing circuit that suppresses voltage spikes generated when a switch or inductive load opens. Fitted between output and neutral on a Shelly 1, Shelly 1PM or Shelly 2.5, it stops the device rebooting when switching inductive loads such as fans, motors or roller shutters.
- Suppresses voltage spikes from inductive loads switching
- Prevents reboots on Shelly 1, 1PM and 2.5
- Wired between Output and Neutral, rated AC 230V
- Compact 27 x 17 x 8mm size fits easily inline

Еnergy absorbing circuits are used to suppress the voltage spikes caused by the circuit's inductance when a switch, electrical or mechanical, opens. To be used for Shelly 1/1PM and Shelly 2.5 which are experiencing rebooting when switching on induction loads such as fans, motors, rollers, or those that cause voltage spikes during switching on. RC snubber should be wired between Output and Neutral of the circuit.

Where you'd use it
Stopping reboots on roller blind motors
Fit between output and neutral on a Shelly 2.5 driving a roller blind motor to stop the relay rebooting from the voltage spike created when the motor switches off.
Protecting relays on extractor fan circuits
Use with a Shelly 1PM switching an extractor fan so the inductive spike each time the fan stops doesn't reset or damage the relay.
Reliable garage door and shutter control
Pair with a Shelly 1 driving a garage door or roller shutter motor where switching spikes have previously caused unreliable or erratic operation.
