The Shelly Wave H&T is a compact Z‑Wave Long Range humidity and temperature sensor that gives you accurate, real-time insights into your indoor environment. Designed with the latest Z‑Wave 800 series technology, it helps you maintain optimal comfort, energy efficiency, and a healthier living space by continuously monitoring temperature and humidity levels.
With precise sensing and fast communication, the Shelly Wave H&T lets your smart home respond automatically to changes in climate. Use it to control heating, cooling, humidifiers, or dehumidifiers—ensuring the perfect conditions for your home or office. By integrating with your Z‑Wave hub, it can trigger custom automations, so for example, a rise in temperature can lower window shades or turn on a fan, while a drop in humidity can activate a humidifier.
Powered by a long-lasting CR123A battery, the sensor is designed for ultra-low power consumption, providing up to two years of battery life depending on usage. It supports both Z‑Wave mesh and Z‑Wave Long Range topologies, with ZWLR offering direct communication with your hub over distances exceeding 400 m (line of sight). Security 2 (S2) authenticated encryption ensures your data remains safe and private.
Setup is simple thanks to SmartStart automatic inclusion, and over‑the‑air firmware updates keep the device up to date with the latest features and improvements. Fully compatible with certified Z‑Wave hubs and devices, it can be seamlessly integrated into a wide variety of smart home systems, enabling you to create intelligent automations, schedules, and scenes that react to environmental changes.
Whether you’re optimising comfort, protecting sensitive equipment, or improving energy efficiency, the Shelly Wave H&T delivers accurate, reliable measurements and integrates effortlessly into your smart home for complete environmental control.

Where you'd use it
Long-range outbuilding monitoring
Place it in a garage, outbuilding or far corner of a large property and use Z-Wave Long Range mode to communicate directly with the hub over distances a standard mesh sensor couldn't reach.
Humidity-triggered dehumidifying
Trigger a dehumidifier or extractor fan automatically when humidity climbs past a set point, useful in bathrooms or basements prone to damp.
Temperature-triggered shading
Use a temperature rise to automatically lower blinds or switch on a fan, keeping a room comfortable without you needing to notice it's warming up.
